Aviaryが初のオンライン・ベクター画像エディタをリリースという記事をTechCrunchが掲載していました。
一言でいうと、ブラウザで動く簡易版Adobe Illustratorのようなもので、私もさっそく試してみましたが、alpha版とは思えないほど非常によくできています。実際に使ったのはペンツールだけになりますが、ブラウザ上とは思えないほど、つまり、Illustratorさながらに動作しました。MacのSafariでも問題なく動作しました。
このWebアプリが正式リリースされたらAdobe Illustratorの代わりになるかというと、そこまではいかないと思いますが、Webに保存したベクターデータを別の誰かがRavenで編集したりという機能も備えており、新たな可能性を秘めていると思います。
