TechCrunchによると、Amazon Kindle 2の写真と価格がリークされたそうです。
Kindleといえば、Amazonから販売されている電子ブックリーダーで、日本では(少なくとも私のまわりでは)ほとんどウワサを聞くことがない製品ですが、2008年には50万台が販売されたという話があります。
また、TIME誌の「TOP 10 ガジェット 2008」では8位の座を獲得しています。ちなみに、iPhone 3Gは同3位を、初代iPhoneは2007年の同1位を獲得しています。
大きさ的にあまり持ち運びやすいとは言えないと思いますが、鉛筆と比較した写真は薄くてカッコいいですね。
ここ最近の関連する話題としては、GoogleがKindle対抗としてGoogle Book SearchをiPhoneやAndroid向けに提供開始というのがありましたね。
Kindle 2の価格は359ドル、発売予定日は2月24日だそうです。
